about

junk-miles is a blog that explores the lifestyle of endurance athletes. You’re less likely to find training logs and traditional race reports and more likely to find tailored workout playlists with new music and quick, tasty training meals. Interested? You should be! And you can read more in j-m’s very first post.

Contributors:

Mike Vulanich  (twitter: @Mike_Vulanich) is currently the main content contributor for junk-miles. Mike is a San Francisco based avid triathlete, road cyclist and medium distance runner – yes, those are different sports! With an affinity for good food (fuel), bouncing tunes and anything that will make cramming training into daily life, he will lend a unique perspective to junk-miles that he hopes will be useful and entertaining to all.

Neil Freese (twitter: @neilfreese) takes on the creative and web development for junk-miles. Neil’s background in web design, content management, creative writing and currently his art collective, Champagne & Nettles, make him an easy fit into the junk-miles flow. Neil has collaborated artistically with many different groups throughout the San Francisco area.
